What the course gives you
- to construct simple objects and lay them out properly within a given format
- to work with the palette and with tonal relationships, to mix complex shades of light colors
- to convey the play of sunlight, a great deal of painterly reflected color and a variety of textures: the crumb of bread, the sheen of porcelain, the surface of a wooden table and the transparency of glass with its many highlights
- to create the particular mood and atmosphere of an early sunny morning, the comfort and simplicity of country life.
