What the course gives you
The magic of mother-of-pearl. We will learn to create subtle color shifts and capture the shimmer of a shell without using ready-made pearlescent paints.
Light and volume. We will explore how to create a convincing form using tonal relationships and reflected light.
Painterly textures. We will work with expressive brushstrokes, layering, splashes, and free decorative techniques.
Gold and cool shades. We will learn to combine elegant golden accents with deep blue, graphite gray, and silvery tones.
Contemporary composition. We will learn to turn a simple natural object into a striking work of contemporary art.
