What the course gives you
We will paint a many-object still life with a parrot in the manner of contemporary impressionism. We will talk about composition, color scheme and style. You will take in the key moments and particulars of working in oil.
What you will learn:
- the basics of composition and color harmony
- the main principles of constructing objects in a still life
- to create volume in objects
- to mix complex shades and hit the right tone
- to convey the color, form and texture of different objects: wood, paper, the bright plumage of a bird
- to work with complex lighting
- to place highlights and color accents correctly so that the painting looks natural and harmonious
