What the course gives you
We will paint a realistic picture - a genre scene in the impressionist manner - bright, full of contrast and charged with the energy of movement. At the center of it all is a lady racing along on horseback...
What you will learn:
- the basics of building the human figure and the figure of a horse in movement
- the principles of linear and aerial perspective
- to work with the palette and with tonal relationships, and to mix complex shades
- to convey sunlight, deep shadows, painterly reflected light and different textures
- to work up small details
- to create a particular mood and atmosphere
- to place highlights and color accents so that the picture looks alive and natural.
