I paint with pure odorless pinene. If you're used to painting with oil or triple medium, that's up to you, but I recommend taking a closer look at my way of building a painting.

I use synthetic filbert brushes, from the smallest to medium sizes. You can use a flat wash brush if you like, but I won't be focusing on them. A bristle brush also won't be my main brush.

As the course develops, other tools may appear, I'll mention them in the lesson, but they won't be essential.

I always recommend having 2-4 palette knives of different shapes.

The size I'll be painting on: 60x90 or 70x100

In the lessons I paint on linen canvases. You're free to choose the size at your own discretion. You should go by the proportion of the sides.

If the reference is elongated, the difference between the sides should be 20 cm or more (for example 40x60 / 50x70).

Classic rectangular formats have a 10 cm difference (40x50 / 50x60)

You also choose squares or circles based on the reference.

I don't mind if you deviate from the given canvas proportions, for example if the reference is elongated but you decide to take a square canvas.

That's always an interesting creative task.
