What the course gives you
You will paint two pictures in different techniques and with different materials:
picture 1 - monochrome, done in black and white in oils.
picture 2 - showing a more modern house. We will use acrylic and oil to make it.
The main characters of our stories are houses, - images of a distant childhood. There is no sense of a particular time here. The pictures show states, feelings in the moment of remembering...
What you will learn:
- the main principles of linear and aerial perspective
- constructing buildings in space
- to work with the palette and with tonal relationships, to mix complex shades
- to combine acrylic and oil in painting
- to stylise a piece to suit your own ideas
- you will get to know interesting artistic devices that you will later be able to use in your own work.
