This work — a wonderful chance to learn to paint water in motion. We will go through how to convey the depth of the sea, the great masses of the waves, the highlights of the sun and the white foam so that the water does not look frozen.
We will give separate attention to the light sail — its shape, its folds, the warm and cool shades of white, the sunlight and the shadows. We will talk about how to work with contrasts and color so that the sail becomes the main patch of light in the picture.
We will go through the composition, the perspective of the boat and the figures of the people. We will learn to paint them freely, without needless detail, keeping the sense of movement and of a living brushstroke.

Over two days, step by step, we will create a finished piece — sunny and filled with air, with the sea and with a feeling of freedom.
